Good Morning ! By the time this post is up I will be on my way to my training day - it's nice to catch up with fellow demos and we hope to see some sneak peeks of new products available when the new catalogue launches on the 1st July ! As promised here are my swaps - I just did a few for the team I am in headed by our lovely upline Peg ! It is a card front but equally could be used as part of a layout page in a " Project Life " page - coming soon - watch this space !!!
Morning ! We are supposed to be having a heatwave here in the UK but it doesn't seem to have reached Worcestershire yet !!! In anticipation I have painted my toenails and have my Birkenstocks on standby but I have to say my tootsies are frozen and I'm seriously thinking of putting a pair of cosy socks on !!!! Anyway - to the crafting !!! We have a big training meet up this weekend and I have made some swaps for the team I am part of - I'll share those with you on Saturday but for today I have a rather bright ( for me ) card to show ! I resisted buying this stamp set but I have to say I have had lots of use out of it and when stamped as it is on this card, it reminds me of a traditional Sanderson print that you might see on some lovely curtains ! It's very much my style and also that of Anna Griffin who inspired me in my earl crafting days !
A layer of vellum over the card front tones down the background and washi tape and co-ordinating ribbon add interest to the project !
Off to design some 12x12 scrapbook layouts today - happy crafting !
Good Morning ! We are due some rain today - which is great as it will save us watering in our newly planted garden !!! Rain is always good crafting weather too !! I have some scrapbook layouts to put together today but have a card to show you in my favourite colour combination - which I have used before but like to go back to !!! It's an A5 thank you card and I've layered up a few textures to add interest !
The topper is a sheet of watercolour paper and it was spritzed with water before stamping the script and flowers - I like the effect and I've added texture with some washi tape , ribbon and embossed vellum . As always - I am happy to answer any questions !
Hello !! I'm burning the candle at both ends at present but it's amazing what you can achieve when you really put your mind to it ! I have my regular Friday design workshop coming up and my ladies are making four cards - two of which use the water spritz method onto watercolour paper to give a lovely soft edge to the stamping ! It diffuses the ink colours too and I think it's really pretty ! The first blue card is a large one made from A4 and scored off centre the second is A6 and uses a medley of soft greens and blues !
Thank you so much for stopping by - your visit is truly appreciated - any questions do please ask !!!
Hello ! I have had a day off work today but wish I hadn't !!! Too much gardening resulting in aching arms and knees - why do I always overdo it ?? Anyway, it all looks very nice now - we have planted up an area in front of the new fence and re-vamped a couple of areas in the rear garden and plan to sort the front tomorrow ! I have a busy few weeks coming up and on Saturday do my three monthly visit to the lovely ladies in Upton - they are a big group and I always do a scrap book layout with them - hence their group name Severn Scrappers !!! I have been doing seasonal themes for my last two visits and the next is the Spring layout ! Take a look at what I will be making with them !
The baby in the picture is Rosie when she was about a year old - I love the photo and quite often scrapbook with it !!! In addition to the layout the ladies are going to get a demo on how to make flowers from punches so they can use them in future layouts !
Off now to put my feet up and an early night methinks !!!
Good Morning ! With the wedding season approaching I have been turning my thoughts to cards and stationary and have a card to share with you that could be used for any occasion but would be very nice for a Wedding or Anniversary ! I have kept my colours very neutral on a white card and used a mix of metallic inks which don't show up terribly well on my photos but look very shimmery in real life !! It's a nice mix of contemporary and pretty which is popular with my class ladies at the moment ! I think they will love making this one !
Off to the Garden centre with my daughter Rosie now to choose some plants - we are revamping part of our rear garden and need some pretties !!! Any questions about today's design project please do message me !
